AWARD II

Rezeki Ramadhan kot. Orang dapat kad raya kami dapat Award, ahak. Thanks to Sue-Aleen yang telah memberikan award ni kepada kami. Nampaknya kena beli almari baru lah kot raya ni, kalau tak mana nak letak award ni ntah, hahaaa... Katanya blog kreatif, tak tahulah aku tang mana creativenya blog ni. Tapi orang kasi kita amik, syukur Alhamdulillah. Same as award yg lalu, aku patutnya serah pulak kat orang lain, tapi yg ni pun aku nak simpan sendiri. Biar award dah sampai beribu ribu pastu baru aku kasi orang lain. amacam? Oke dak? Tapi kalau ada yang tak tahu malu, print je la dan frame sendiri, takpe aku tak kisah. Hahaaaa....

PORTOBELLO

Bulan posa ni kan kalau hari Sabtu atau Ahad cukup lah terasa panjangnya. So untuk kill the time kami akan cari aktiviti yang boleh kami manfaatkan. Within a walking distance from our place, there is a flee-market-alike with many many hawkers on Saturday that is Portobello. This is a very long stretch street that sell almost anything you could find under the sun. But then, we decided to confine ourself to the area where they sell antiques. Tell you what, it was amazing to see all the stuffs that are actually dated back to 14 to 18 centuries. How they manage to keep all these antiques in a very good condition, shining and working perfectly well, i dont know. And even more amazing when they can actually tell you the stories behind them, (or perhaps they just made it themselve! hahaa... - which i believe is almost unlikely).

We first opted to spend two hours here in Portobello, thus i have paid for 2 hours parking ticket. But then, i could not keep-up with kakak who by now was so eager to grab and simply snatch what ever fancy her from the hawkers table, especially those old ages jewelleries (which by the way will cost you arms and legs!) that dingle from the string they tied on few poles. She was very persistant that i almost lost control. So i have no choice but to carry kakak. Dah lah posa and with my tummy kept on growling, we hence have to find the exit. Adik was all along sleeping in his stroller.

Luckily we stumbled upon one stall that sells cakes - cup cakes. They look very cute with all the pink cream and colourful sprinkle on top. What most important it has much enough to entice kakak from going back to the expensive antiques jewelleries. Selamat. So bought one of the cupcakes - a giant one and kakak was happy. But then, by this time we thought we should just go home, jalan kejap je dah penat, and so we did.

Well, we actually hardly spend our time at this end of the Portobello Street. Everytime we were here we would start from the middle of the street and walk to the other end that sells most of the London souvenirs and also vegetable. Plus this end is like walking down the hill - much easier. There is a Malaysia cafe in the midst of this busy street and is known as Restoran Makan. We have only tried it one time when kak cho and kak chik were here. Funny thing happened back then when i was about to pay, the cashier (in mid 20s) suddenly asked me: Pakcik datang bercuti ke? Huhuhuhu.... PAKCIK??? Alamak, do I look old? Ops, may be i should rephrase, do i not look young??? hahahaaa... Mmmm, perhaps i should seriously start thinking about finding those anti aging and anti wrinkle cream! ahak. I answered him sincerely while at the back of my head i can hear me laughing out loud (or maybe crying - could not define which one!), huhuhuuu... Since then we have never tried restoran Makan anymore. Dont get me wrong, no, not the incident that kept us away from it, it is just like i said before, we rarely go to Portobello and coincidently everytime we were there, it is just not the makan time. Having said that, the food was good thus recommended, eventhough we have only tried it once.

Dah terlanjur cakap pasal makan ni, there is one restaurant called Melur formerly known as Mawar - located at the Edgware Road- is now opened, we thought of having our iftar there today... So selamat berbuka posa. Nak join? Jom!
